Meet people.
Make something.

A friendly Shed and workshop. Opening soon! You don't need to be a craftsman, just turn up and join in.

What is a Shed?

A place to be useful, learn something new, and not be on your own. It's about connection, conversation and creation, and it's open to everyone.

Queensbury Shed brings people together to make, repair and repurpose, supporting projects across our local community.

Improving wellbeing, reducing loneliness and combatting social isolation.

Friendship

The kettle is always on. New friends, no pressure, no awkward icebreakers.

Shared skills

Try woodwork, carving, the odd repair, or teach someone else what you already know.

Community

Built by local people, for Queensbury and surrounding areas.

Why we exist

Queensbury Shed exists to provide a welcoming, inclusive and practical community space where people can come together, share skills, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing through friendship, conversation and hands-on activity. Our aim is to create a space that supports community connection across generations through practical projects, learning and social interaction. Open to everyone.

The organisation was formed in response to a clear lack of accessible community workshop and social spaces within Queensbury and the surrounding area. Over the past 18 months we have worked to build local support, partnerships and opportunities that will allow us to establish a long-term home capable of delivering lasting social benefit, community engagement and positive local impact.
